About

Who Did It Better, a Chicago-based blog, presents one song as done by various recording artists. As a child, I heard Little Richard sing Keep A-Knockin’ and felt the back of my head and neck go cold. Years later, as an English major (a complete waste of time!) I read the following Emily Dickinson quotation, “If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.” Anyway, I understood immediately. Something neurological is happening when I hear music. What’s happening?
